Preserving the past through art.
Submerged in layers of peat bog for thousands of years, the wood used for the handle of this knife is a jet-black color brought on by millennia of preservation in mineral salts. The sleek design of the handle belies the history captured in this piece of functional art.

A signed certificate to authenticate the age of the wood used in the handle from Laboratorium Datowań Bezwzględnych, Krakow, Poland, is included with the knife.

Blade Steel: AEB-L High Carbon Stainless Steel (62HRc)

Blade Dimensions: 240mm long x 61mm tall at the heel (9.4" x 2.4"), double bevel, compound s-grind, bright satin finish.

Handle: Approximately 7,000 year-old bog oak, laminated on layers of orange liner & carbon fiber. Six blind screws inside the handle, with a copper corby bolt & pin holding the handle permanently in place.

Knife Weight: 200 grams

*Prices are in USD.
**Handles are waterproof, hand wash only with a soft sponge.
