Preserving the past through art.
Submerged in layers of peat bog for thousands of years, the wood used for the handle of this knife is a jet-black color brought on by millennia of preservation in mineral salts. The sleek design of the handle belies the history captured in this piece of functional art.
A signed certificate to authenticate the age of the wood used in the handle from Laboratorium Datowań Bezwzględnych, Krakow, Poland, is included with the knife.
